My future job
Hello everyone, I have been too busy, now I will tell you a little about future work when I graduate, I would like to have a job that allows me to experiment, be independent, using the knowledge of chemistry, in other words, I would like to be a researcher or work in the laboratory, apart from spreading knowledge.
Generally it is an indoor job, a researcher has his space, with his instruments, where you can work both alone and in a group.
I am not very informed about the salary, I have not been able to keep up to date, although statistically they say that the salaries of chemists are increasing (a few months ago I compared the salaries of 2019 to the beginning of 2021), I think that with the passage of time the salary will still vary (I did not choose the career for the salary, because), apart, I would have to see the panorama in the other countries, but that is another story, anyway, I think that the salary depends a lot on the area in which that I carry out, for example, the different positions of the university works.
Currently, I only worry about advancing with the curriculum, I do not rule out taking a master's degree in the future, I think in the area of organic or forensic chemistry because it is interesting to work with compounds to deny evidence, apart from discovering, creating reactions and seeing in the first person several chemical reactions to forget a little about the first-year bouquets (I feel that it is the most boring of the race) and to compensate for the lack of face-to-face classes.
Besides, I think it is not the only path I would take, I would like to do other projects, but more in the area of computing, if I had more time, I would not completely leave the knowledge of the career I am studying either, since I would like to apply them abroad of a laboratory XD. Well, that was it, see you on the next blog, good night.
Very useful job, I am interesting in a forensic job, too 🐻
ResponderBorrargood luck on your way as a chemist, and you're right the salary doesn't matter when you do what you love.
ResponderBorrarIt's an indoor job but I feel it gives you the same feeling of freedom as being outdoors.
ResponderBorrarI think informatic area is so compatible with chemistry... good luck in your future.
